I have to say, this Aidan thing is amazing! I am running around gathering things and cleaning so he can take everything out while he is here. Not sure what I will do when he goes away to college (he is a senior and looking at forestry school)

Sophia, ask him if there is another senior or rising senior who is a friend who could use the money.
That's a great idea. So much cheaper than a maid service, because I don't mind, or even like cleaning. It is the picking up and the garbage that gets me.
What I really want to do is call a repairman to tell her that her oven is OK to use.
That seems like a great gift!
Wrote my church notes! (Didn't go to church, but details, details.)
I would love someone to arrange things to be fixed for me. It's not even the paying for it, it's more the finding a person and checking if they're good or priced well or whatever and then getting them to call you back and find a time and and and....ugh.
Timelies all!
Mr. S was up early today, despite not having gone to sleep until after 9 last night. He's been a real joy today, as expected.
I don't even know what to do about my income tax when I filed. I am feeling like a failure and like a tax cheat right now and very guilty.
I wouldn't worry too much about it given who in the government is a tax cheat.
I have failed at gift shopping so far this season. I've had multiple migraines and then the flu since ACC & Santaland opening but it still feels like failure.
I'm at a loss on ideas for my brother & SIL. And I need b'day and Christmas for my 20yr old nephew.
Do any Colorado folks know anything about this puzzle room in Ft Collins [link] ? My college BFF moved there over the summer and I'm considering a gift cert as a family gift.
I found a person for my mom's repair and am checking it out with my friend Katie, whose sister is married into a big wig family in the local area. So I think this will work out. If I am there, my mom won't believe the repairman (person), but if I can talk to them ahead of time, it would be good. Even if they just have to pretend to be a repair.
This is why I miss living rural, although I do have a little tiny neighborhood. With my Dunkin Donuts and the bodega.
