I always find it funny that my coworkers think I am some sort of computer genius, but mostly I am just willing to try a bunch of different things until something's works, or I google.
I think about 99% of being "good with computers" is just a willingness to try shit without worrying that something will break. (And once you've done that enough, you get a feel for "well that setting's usually under this menu" and then you look like a wizard for guessing correctly on the first try.)
(OK, that is terrible and I hate it.)
Seeing emoji here is just weird! And that sentiment makes me feel like an Internet Old

I promise not to commit acts of emoji here (no matter how much I love the poo emoji).
I can do the heart, because ita taught me, but other emojis, not so much. Here, anyway.
Oddly, though, I would love it if we had avatars (again). Or profile pictures or icons, or whatever the kids are calling them these days.
msbelle, you're amazing. Fingers crossed on the job search, and I'm really impressed by how you handled getting Mac situated. You're pretty cool (as well as the nicest, of course).
Dcp- that is exactly what I do! And I am not technically in tech support, but my coworkers come to me because we are on the same floor. The other thing I do is try a different browser!
I liked the avatars at WC, and I still think of some people as them - Dana will always be Elijah Wood to me.
Thank you all. We are all just faking it until we make it. I'm a really great actress.
Mac turned his thermostat to off last night and woke up to a very cold apartment. He had me pick him up and drop him at the house this morning to get a bit more sleep and also pack up more stuff. We are having lunch today since he didn't respond to me requests to do something yesterday for Gotcha Day.
Nothing like learning the hard (cold) way...
I started off this week being sick (again), and Sara being sick (again), and then a car accident that took off my front bumper (no one was hurt), and I'd pretty much like a do-over even though it is already Thursday.
