Jesse - I'm ready for him to be gone, but I need him to be willing to discuss things with me because it is not as if he is actually capable of managing everything.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Well, the computer problem at work got fixed, so that's good. Alas, more Xmas music in the lab today. Sigh...the next three weeks are going to be hard.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Matt, given that she's decided not to run for re-election (yay!), it seems unlikely that she'll throw in the towel soon (boo!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, that's a tough problem.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That seems so hard, msbelle.

I have one last rant about Nigel.

He posted my departure to current and former students on Facebook without asking me. It was a tribute and very nice (except none of the photos he included were actually things I sewed! Not one item in any photo did I have much of a hand in. Two shows were entirely sewn and built by designers who did not want my help, and one show I didn't work on. The other two were things I purchased).

However, it has been one day. Maybe I wanted to slink away without a to do and contact students that I am friends with to let them know!!!

It's not the easiest and as my therapist point out a lot of big stressors going on right now.

I am feeling a little invisible which is not helping. People not including me on information that affects me at work, Mac not communicating with me at all, fewer and fewer training sessions with my trainer (she and I are both busy, but she doesn't text me with any notice when things change). I swear the dogs and this place keep me from felling completely lost of connection.

You have been a pillar of strength for me over the years, so I am happy to lend an ear. Or just to "see" you here. I think it will be nice for you to be in Baltimore with sara and Lisa around and such a cute house.

Being in the midst of transition is always hard. I think this is why I kicked my parents out as soon as they dropped me off at camp. Or college. I'm here now! Moving on!!!!

If all works out I will have at least one week in the Baltimore house alone before a job starts. I plan to completely and fully break down and also drink.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Mac wanting to do it on his own is a good thing -- that's him taking responsibility, and overall is a step forward. This will allow you the chance to be gracious when he inevitably flounders a little and asks for help.

I had a nice chat with my cousin last night, and agreed to take responsibility for my aunt's collection of green glass objets (most of which you'd never use for anything practical like eating from) and the porcelain china that originally belonged to my grandmother. The china is pretty much going to stay boxed up, but I can figure out some way to cat-proof a display for the glass.
