Yikes, askye! Now I'm wondering if I should google what kind of a symptom 'extremely cold-feeling' (or however you'd medically term it) and diagnose from far away.
Note: there may well be problems where even a little cold is a bad idea -- my Mom had trigeminal neuralgia and stepping into a blast of cold air could almost knock her off her feet because the facial pain it kicked off was like an electric shock.
She sounds super-hard to live with -- ltc is quite reasonable by comparison (and certainly age-appropriate).
Hooray for mac apartment!
Yikes, askye.
Timelies all!
Ugh, it's been a Monday. Gary got up at stupid o'clock to catch his flight for yet another business trip. I had to wrangle Mr. S to get him fed, medicated and dressed, in that order. Christmas music was playing all morning long in the lab.(Yep, I got LDB'ed already) And to top it off, when I got back from lunch my computer decided it wouldn't accept my password or read my ID card. Both things worked when I used them in another computer, so I don't know why my computer lost it's mind. Called the help desk who said they'd put me in as high priority. Didn't see or hear any IT people the rest of the day.
Oh, yeah, still grey and rainy.
While we were decorating the tree on Sunday I got Maria'd, LDB'ed, and sent to Whamhalla, all in one Spotify playlist.
Very efficient, ND!
I hope tomorrow is better, Sheryl.
Can you convince her to have her thyroid levels and iron levels checked?
hrrmmphhh - already got a "looking at candidates that are better suited" email for on of the jobs I applied for yesterday - and that was one I thought I could do with virtually no learning curve.
So annoying when it's probably an algorithm that rejected you on the basis of a missing keyword or two. I suspect that one of the reasons that I got the job at Youville is that there was an Actual Human Being reading through the responses.
I had a resident take a fall today -- luckily, she didn't bruise anything except for her dignity, but I'm not allowed to help her to her feet, so the nurse had to come to check her over and get her back up safely. I felt so bad, regardless. And another one of my particular favorites had to call 911 for an ambulance ride early this morning, so I'm crossing fingers for a nice old retired fireman.
In other news, my uncle is now in assisted living in St. Louis and my poor remaining cousin is having to coordinate packing up and selling a condo and two houses in South Carolina, essentially by herself.

oh that must be so hard. I hope she has some support from friends.
I applied for 2 more jobs tonight. TAKE THAT!
So I have been not considered for any position I have applied for at JHU.
