Saffron: You won't tell anyone about me breaking down? Mal: I won't. Saffron: Then I won't tell anyone how easily I got your gun out of your holster. Mal: I'll take that as a kindness.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I plan on having my annual stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwich for lunch soon.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

How is everyone recovering from their food comas?

About to initiate a new round as I cook a second day Thanksgiving.

Emmett is snorfling asleep on the couch. I took coffee in to JZ who is under an extra comforter because it was frickin' cold last night.

Matilda still zonked out.

We're having leftovers tonight with my grandfather who had Thanksgiving yesterday with other relatives, but right now ltc is at the mall with her grandparents and we are enjoying the quiet.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Happy Pie for Breakfast Day!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

One thing I hate about overeating on Thanksgiving is that it fucks with my appetite for weeks afterward. I get ravenously hungry, and then I take only a few bites and I feel full and bloated. Then it repeats only a few hours later.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hour nap after dinner yesterday, which meant I finally got to sleep before 3:30 AM. Was startled out of sleep by a nightmare at 6:30 and couldn't settle, so I've been up since then. I foresee a nap in my afternoon.

We are gratefully separated from leftovers because they either went home with our hostess' grandson, or remain with her.

(Yawn)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Tom, that's what happens to me with Chinese food.

I am trying a different recipe for cauliflower stuffing today. I didn't really like the one with roasted cauliflower. I think the seasoning needs to somehow seep in to the cauliflower.

Hey. New board.

Brazil celebrates black Friday in every store, for at least a week. Argentina, on the other hand, does not appear to have caught that particular disease.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Timelies, all. My inbox is full of emails urging me to shop today - I am maybe leaving the house and walking the block to the yoga studio, and only because my friend is substitute teaching. Otherwise it is cold and I have leftovers.

For the curious, the turkey tikka masala was great! We curled up together and watched a few episodes of Savage Builds, then drove Ken to the terminal to start home for his rounds of vacation critter tending/time with his best friend Mike, in town from Boston.
