Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sanity check: how unreasonable is it for me to ask my stepdad not to bath in a cologne that triggers my asthma on the holidays?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Not at all unreasonable. On any day.

Thanks Dana, no matter how many times I ask it never happens and I'm already dealing with a very low amount of spoons. I'm so angry right now.

I realize having a very dramatic asthma attack would not be good for you, but I'd be so tempted. Maybe you could fake one.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Totally reasonable, sj! That's shitty.

JZ, I know this is what "they" always say, but I bet your manager would really appreciate a nice note.

JZ, I agree a nice note and maybe a baked gift her and her kid would enjoy?

We wouldn't even be here if ltc wasn't so excited about it. It's not like Dave and I have any interest in eating anything today. If mom lives close enough I would have dropped her off and gone home.

Dana, no that wouldn't help anything because I'm just being overly dramatic anyway.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I did not go driving this morning! Have a lunch out at one, which is about all the holiday celebrating that I want.

Thrive to spite them

Sj I am sorry you are dealing with unreasonable family.

I don't have to leave for work for awhile but I'm ready to go now. Matthew and his mom are getting on each other's nerves and it's getting on mine. Her anxiety is messing with her so she is asking lots of questions looking for reassurance ad fretting about things. This annoys Matthew (because most of it is directed at him and his mom just bursts stuff out because "I'll forget if I don't say it and I have to say it or I'll forget". I am using my sound canceling ear muffs so I don't have to listen to the parade on tv and the multiple phone calls she is making on speaker phone .

Inspired by Sophia and my mom and there gettinf rid of clutter I bagged up a bunch of yarn I have that I don't like and so I don't crochet with it, but then I feel bad because I bought it so I should use it up and I decided to just get rid of it. I also culled out a bunch of books the other day.
