My pie is in the oven. We just need to not lose power for 45 more minutes. (Or at all, really, because it's in the 40s and the house will get cold.)

Timelies all!
As usual, we're going to my MIL's house for Thanksgiving. An apple pie has been bought(she doesn't like pumpkin pie) from the kosher supermarket. Gary has Friday off, but I don't, so I will be at work then. The convention that usually happens this weekend is on hiatus this year, so we're around.
We have theoretically have code freeze on Friday for an early December release date. My adorable brogrammers are getting punchy, and my PM asked if the crystal ball on my desk would be any help for in doing code reviews.
So work was ok ish. No one applied for a credit card. I don't really want people to I just want to hit my goal for the year.
But I spent most of the day hot and frustrated. Tomorrow I'll see how things go right now we are going to have Chinese food for dinner and I think I'm going to read fanfic all night.
Best wishes and ~ma for the day ahead. In case you forgot I am super grateful for you.
Sipping wine outside at end of sunset. Told DH to pick up grub. I'm pretty ready. 15 for dinner and pool party. Most stuff i'll Do in the morning. Tonight wine and either iZombie or Twin Peaks.
DIL bought a new roaster because mine had seen better days. It's red! And shiny!
I'm in tech rehearsals for A Christmas Carol, as has been my way for the past 18 years.
I have a pie crust part-baked, a turkey in the fridge, and I have to clean the house and prep for the house-sitter. Then bake a maple-walnut pie and maybe a set of pumpkin muffins before going to bed hella early.
At least at work I got some stuff done, if not as much as I would like. My boss is still out on sick leave (massive back surgery) and 2 other team members are going to be in Europe for about 2 weeks. I sure hope we have no emergencies while I'm in charge!
first two pies are in. I was live on FB prepping them if you want to hear me babble.
I am going to get one more in tonight and do the other one in the morning.
The turkey is brining and both pies are cooling on the counter.
My pie turned out a little ugly (I just slightly overfilled the crust, so the filling got on the fluted crust and then the foil crust protector stuck to that and it got all weird), but it's going to be tasty as hell so I don't care.
Making cornbread in the morning.
I was trying to come up with topic changes if anyone in my family is stupid enough to bring up politics, and Tim was like, "Just ask them 'Hey, have you seen Good Omens? Here are all my thoughts on an angel and demon fucking!' " He's right -- that ought to shut any Trumpsters up really quickly.
