This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm pretty sure most professional appliance stores will either throw in 'delivery and setup' or charge a reasonable fee to get it in and get the old one out -- it worked that way with my old TV, since the giant tube took two big guys to carry out!

I once observed with my stubborn mother who was resisting the need to see a doctor for Something Very Serious that as you get older, 'stubborn' stops being an absolutely good survival trait and into something that gets you killed.

Sounds like Trump is going through his own health woes (sharp-eyed observers have noticed that suddenly the White House doctor is accompanying him on ALL trips) and I can only hope his usual wise decision-making process that has produced the clown car of an administration goes a long ways towards following wise medical advice.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sophia, that fridge is gorgeous.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Doesn't your apartment come with a refrigerator? That seems like something that a landlord would supply.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Depends where you live

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

This. In the last couple of years I've replaced my refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher, and all three were removed by the same guys who delivered the new ones.

Le Pavillon does not use half measures when it comes to handicap accessibility!

I've stayed there. Very swanky. A coworker's room wasn't ready so they put her in the presidential suite for the first night. Even swankier.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hi, Laga!

Sophia, that's a pretty fridge. Home Depot ought to have a delivery service that also hauls away the old fridge. That's what happened with my fridge as well as my washer and dryer.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My landlord does not supply a pretty fridge! They will probably take the old one because it is their's, as I have permission to buy my own and take it with me when I leave. It isn't urgent, I am pretty much window shopping until I figure out my finances. My new promotion came with a big raise, but I was taking a lot of Uber. Now that I am not doing theatre, my expenses are actually very low, even without the money I made at the theatre. I basically negotiated a little more than theatre plus old job together. That's why I felt terrible hating it. I was trying to get through theatre for one more year to pay off my credit cards. Now I used my loan to pay down my credit cards, so I have a lower bill paying back my 401K. And the past week with just the one job and a clean house was so much happier, so I am not sure it is the job, it was just the two jobs that made me nutty.

Aidan had been an gone after church. He took out my garbage and a random space heater, and moved four boxes of books to the back porch to be picked up December 18. I gave a poncho to Maria and a book to her mom

Our wings are not tired.

Landlord supplied appliances seems to vary by where you live. When I lived in NY it was common that the tenant brought their own appliances, but in other states it was always landlord supplied. Also, super pretty fridge!

I am considering, well pretty much already decided, to get an artificial Christmas tree. I have had live trees for the last 64 years, but I am over it. Mom always made a big deal of a real one. My nephew in NY just stomps through the forest and finds one he likes and drags it home. I live in Florida where the trees come from thousands of miles away and generally drop their needles as we drag it into the house. This one is 7-1/2 feet tall and has all the lights on it. [link] My only grumble is they aren't LED lights. I could get the same tree with no lights for $60 less, but then I have to string my own lights, which I am also over doing. Of course this won't happen until after Thanksgiving so I have some time to decide. I didn't like the pre-lit LED trees as much, they tended to be thinner and not as real looking.
