All in all you guys are making me lean toward the cleaning service, even though literally no one in Rochester gets a cleaning service for a semi crappy apartment!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Be a trendsetter!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Been a productive day so far. Took Mr. S to the flu clinic for his shot, brought stuff to the dump and are now at an indoor play area where Mr. S is running around.

A cleaning service also makes you straighten up and declutter - you find yourself going around the house the day before picking up stuff and putting them where they're supposed to be because who knows where the cleaners will put them.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Laga!

What Bennett said--I don't CLEAN before the cleaners, but I do pick up/declutter before the cleaners, which is really half the battle.

Of course, I fired my last cleaners (I'd had them for like 4 years? I thought they were a little overpriced but convenient, and then they "accidentally" double charged me three times, and then were raising their rates, so...) and haven't hired new ones yet (or really even tried) and I super need to.

So, I am thinking of getting this as a treat. Maybe after I can prove I can keep this up for two months, so January. [link]

How the heck do I get this home and up my stairs?!?! Obviously people do this, but it does not seem to be a service of Home Depot. I am strong and determined, but I certainly cannot do it. I don't really think Aidan can be of much help.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

(hi Tom!)

that's a good question about fridges. Also how to get rid of an old one.

I got rid of an old one by having the Serve Pro people tape it up and put it in a dumpster. I have a cheap half sized fridge freezer that I brought up by sliding it up the stairs. But I feel that service is mostly for people in crisis and is pretty expensive to just move it!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

You can use a Climb Cart! They look like they work really well. The issue might be the weight of the object you're moving upstairs or downstairs, though.

With a sloped bathroom floor and a drain, you could actually have a shower without a threshold that you can roll a wheelchair into, or walk into without tripping over the threshold. I love that idea!
