SailAweigh, I love rooibos tea and lemon ginger, thanks! And I can have dried fruit, I think!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Amyth!!! so glad for the updates.
hivemind - does anyone have suggestions on best places to buy phones? mac's phone is dying/dead/. He is on a pre-paid plan so no trade-in or fix it option with carrier.
My gut says that carriers are not the best deals on phones unless you are getting a big plan.
Best Buy?
Best Buy?
Best Buy is a good place to look. Check Wal-Mart, too, if you shop there (I know some people don't care to shop there because Wal-Mart criminally underpays their employees).
We almost always get our phones from the local phone repair guy. He takes phones in on trade-in and always has a large selection in a range of prices. You likely have the same kind of shop there.
Listening to the opening statements the last few days of the hearings has made me feel like my job is seriously not important. I appreciate that so many qualified people run things. I'm sorry they have such absurd challenges and obstacles these past few years.
Timelies all!
Mr. S had a meltdown at dinner. He threw his dinner on the floor, then cried about being hungry. He's eating a tuna sandwich now. I just don't know about him sometimes.(Ok, a lot of the time.)
Extremely late, but chiming in as a professor at a community college: it is never too late to go (back) to school to pursue something you're interested in. My older students are usually my favourite ones; they really want it and know how to work to get it!
Waving pompoms at all y'all who could use the support.
Sheryl - he's 3 or 4?
Oh! I almost forgot. We get a new set of doctors every two weeks: an attending, a resident, and an intern. We just rotated to a new set yesterday. The set for the past two weeks included an intern whose people skills were off the charts, had super-glam clothes, and definitely had the air of someone who had been in the real world for a while before going to med school. Turns out she worked on Obama's 2012 re-election campaign, and then worked for Michelle Obama in the White House. (Because I google stalked her, naturally.) So I caaaasually left my copy of Becoming out when she came to say goodbye. She asked if I knew that Michelle had been her boss and I admitted to google stalking her. She said she would come back again to see me, but it would be a social call. ::fangirling::
Anyway, we were all talking about what if there were an adult version of Make-A-Wish and I could choose any celebrity to come see me? I was running through potential names (Megan Rapinoe? Elizabeth Warren? Michelle Obama? Phoebe Waller-Bridge?) and Calli helped me come up with the perfect person: DOLLY PARTON.
She would totally bring her guitar, and she wouldn't just sing for me, she'd sing for the whole floor. It would be a party! DOLLY.
