Though if she applied to Kenyon, she'd automatically move to the second round of applicants as a legacy.
Vassar will give her a boost, too!
Timelies all!
I had leftover sesame chicken for lunch. It was ok.
Mom made me fried eggs and a cheddar bagel for lunch.
I made tacos.
This will be the first year Ken has not spent the night with us over Thanksgiving. He adopted a kitten a couple of months ago, and doesn't want to leave her overnight - he'll drive over for the day instead.
Aww, Ken is being a good kitty parent!
I read this as "Ken is being a good little kitty PARROT!" I was picture it Ken as the kitty on Amy's shoulder.
Steph, continued ~ma to you.
No landlord today- he is coming tomorrow. I gained the courage to tell them my front stove burner is not working.
I think that is a good sign that they think it will pass, since the city person is coming at 1:30 on Thursday.
Do you think I should be there? People usually like me :)
SHould I maybe move the attic boxes against the wall? That is the only area that is not clean.
I think it is a good sign that I am singing my kitty songs again. I ended up finding David's In the Pines mix tape, and although my tape player didn't work, I have the song stuck in my head, but with
"Oh Where did you sleep last night
With the cat
With the cat
With the cat
With the cat
Where did you sleep last night"
I read this as "Ken is being a good little kitty PARROT!" I was picture it Ken as the kitty on Amy's shoulder.
(giggling)
This is Melodie; one of his friends was volunteering at a Seattle Humane Society event, and he was doomed at first sight. Ken is absolutely the stereotypical new cat parent, and spams us both with pictures - this leads to me alternating between "WHY IS THE CAT IN THE FRIDGE?", "Why is there no food in the fridge, that there is so much room for Melodie?" and "Why was your response to 'the cat jumped into the fridge when I opened the door' to grab your phone?"
(This is said in my head, or sometimes to Jim. It's been three years this week since Mushi died, and I am so happy he has decided it's time to let another tuxedo stomp on his heart.)
What a cutie! I actually have this weird thing where I say "Cutie Petunia" instead of cutie patootie, hence my kitty Petunia's name. I also say pain in the Petunia, instead of pain in the butt.
So I have a weird dilemma. I said I would make amyth a chemo cap. She said her favorite colors are jewel tones. But I read up on chemo caps, and the recommend bamboo or very soft cotton, which doesn't seem to come in jewel tones which I can find. I think it is probably hard to get them to dye.I can whip up a cap in probably a night, and Philip (Maria's brother who sells eBay and I work with every day) can mail it for me, but I am paralyzed with yarn choice. Do I go for soft, or pretty colors? I want to do this and not flake out.
I'd go for soft -- she can feel it more than see it, I think.
amyparker, my cat loves to be in the refrigerator! He's a nut.
