You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've never had real jambalaya. I don't even know what it is supposed to taste like.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's kinda like Spanish rice with more stuff in it, sj.

I guess so, Dana. I've never encountered that before. Huh.

Well, now I know.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I don't even know what it is supposed to taste like.

Not soupy, that's for sure.

I had jerk chicken for lunch.

I got back from Disney World Saturday night. I'm still completely exhausted from the trip and I gained weight there eating crappy food. I did get to go to Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal while we were down there, so that made me happy. I also convinced my family to use one of our FastPasses for the Haunted Mansion.

I had a frozen burrito for lunch.

Our wings are not tired.

Lunch for me was canned tomato basil soup with tofu cubes. It was edible.

Guess which is more fun, spending several hours at the DMV, or having to listen to your spouse who has been spending hours at the DMV?

I THINK the plaster sawing part of the renovation is done so I am working on cleaning up the white dust that is on absolutely everything. I thought I would try one room a day. Kitchen is today. Then I got distracted by the junk drawer. If I open it again the dust elimination project is going to be delayed.

This and catching up with soap operas is keeping me away from watching the heart breaking news. I can only take so much of it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I tried a crock pot pasta e fagioli recipe this weekend in the hope of getting a week's worth of lunches. Something went wrong with the liquid-solid ratio and it came out more like a pasta and bean casserole. Not great. There's a potluck on Wednesday and I'm working from home on Friday. I may just splurge and eat at the cafeteria the other two days.

Possibly too much pasta, Calli. It will soak up a surprising amount of liquid.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I found out that yes, one of the dead in Pittsburgh is a friend's long-time (as in "Uncle Max") family friend. It seems like everything is just a little too close to home.

Oh, and it's the 6th anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, which as you may remember was really hard on my family.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Lunch is going to be a low-carb Dutch Baby, because I just found a new recipe.

IO(shallow)N: I found one of my holy grail vintage cosmetic items on eBay (I want it to swatch and have duplicated), but the seller charges $12.90 to ship USPS from NJ.

Oh Theo. I'm so sorry.
