Go education! I've thought about going further for years, but it would just be for my own satisfaction. Maybe someday.
Feeling very encouraged by Kentucky tonight. And Virginia. Go Democracy!

For the gifts I woudl be in for a group thing or something where it can be directly sent to the sender.
I keep thinking about finishing an AA. I never finished college at all but .. I don't think I do well with online learning and I know I can't work full time and go to physical classes. Plus I don't want to take on debt and I don't think there is anyway for me to finish without debt. Beyond an AA I have no idea what I would want to study, I never really had a strong idea to begin with.
I have a Hivemind question... I've been thinking I haven Plantar facitias and I know I have a heel spur. But I've started having pain along the outside of my foot and on the top of the foot along with some numbness. Has anyone who has experienced plantar facitias have numbness?
I know I need to go get this looked at but I don't want to because it's November and I'm not sure if I could get information I need before Jan and then my deductible kicks back in. But if I wait until my deductible is covered that will be May or June and that doesn't seem like a good idea either.
I'd love to do a holiday card/postcard exchange instead of a gift.
I love this. I can't do gifts, but I could definitely send a nice card to someone.

I've had plantar fascitis but it didn't manifest on the outside of my foot. But rather right in the middle of it. I was able to use shoe inserts to correct it.
It was kind of shocking how quickly Dr. Scholl's made a difference. I recommend you make that relatively cheap investment to start.
I've tried several different insoles but they don't work for me. There isn't enough space for my feet and the insoles in the shoes. It's a combination of fat feet, high arch, and shoes without removable insoles. The one pair of shoes I can wear with removal insoles becomes completely unwearable if I take out the insoles and switch them with something like Dr Scholl's. The only shoes I've been able to do this with are my Dankso Mary Jane's but I have to put the insert over the insole and once I do that it raises my heel and that puts more pressure on my foot pad and I can only wear those once a week.
The only thing that really helped was walking on the beach for a week and I can't do that.
I have very hard to fit feet to begin with (high arch, narrow heel, wider at the toe and now a chubby foot) so trying to find supportive good shoes isn't easy.
askye, I dealt with plantar fasciitis by massaging the arch and stretching every chance I got, especially first thing in the morning. Any kind of stretch that pulls or pushes the top of your foot toward your shin will help. Just keep in mind that it takes weeks/months to resolve. None of the products marketed toward this were useful for me.
I've had plantar but it manifested as bottom of the foot and back of the heel pain - not outside or top of the foot. Also, no numbness. Danskos helped immensely - also Think! (not cheap) and Earth shoes. Also stretching exercises.
Laura, fyi, the woman just elected Loudon County (Virginia) head of the Board of Supervisors is the one who was photographed flipping off Trump's motorcade.
I pretty much wear exclusively Danskos, but not cheap. I think there is an online outlet where I ended up with a lot of fun colors, but if you want black in a common size you will need to shell out!
I am trying to decide whether to put my loan to pay off my credit card now or wait until I am cleared on inspection. I think the city may actually take 60 days, but I like having the money available in case I have to pay a deposit and rent and moving expenses. Maybe I should move it to my savings account?
