Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I called today to say I was ready, but they are going to let me know! Which I really hate. I mean, I think I can probably clean the attic a bit, but I don't like that I am technically not supposed to by occupying the house. My little rule following heart feels like I am going to be arrested.

They said sometime this week

Because books.

Wait, I missed that -- you're not supposed to be occupying the house ... until the inspection? That's ridiculous.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Yay walking! Yay dating!

And yes, Sophia. I am too confused.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm tired of waking up at odd times, then going back to sleep. (Also, I'm just tired)

He lost his certificate of occupancy but he cashed my rent check. He knows I am there. I don't think the city knows.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got a little good news today -- I can go on the company health insurance plan starting Jan 1, which is better than what I've got and will cost me about $300/month less than I'm paying now.

That's awesome Theo!

Sophia, is it just the inspection to get the certificate of occupancy back? Or more bureaucracy stuff??

I am reminded why I don't normally take public transit home. With a ride share it takes about 30 min. With bus and light rail it took almost 90! Ugh. Granted it was about $3.50 rather than $27. But still.

I start back at work tomorrow. Eek!!!

I ended up taking an Uber from th bud station because I JUST missed the next bus, and it now makes me so anxious to be away from home on a weekday. I do not want to sleep in my office or the costume shop again! I actually feel more anxious now than before I realized I had the money to pay.

I think the headache/beauracracy is all on the landlord. I think he has 60 days so he is not in as much of a hurry as I am, but they said they would come by this week, do their inspection and fix my little things (the Serve Pro people removed a smoke alarm and I think most of the detectors have to be replaced, and I am not tall enough to change the lightbulb on my stairs). They are getting me a new lock/key this week for $25. I just don't know if things will move on my timeline, which I may just need to be patient with.

In a sort of depressing thought, this is a situation where being a nice white lady really privileged me. I think if I were a black woman, I would have been out on my butt. Actually, I am not sure this landlord rents to people of color. There are none in my little area (10 apartments), which makes me uncomfortable now that I have thought it, because this is a really mixed area (Black, White, Latino)
