Herding cats for fun

Oh man. We lost Connie? We didn't know for weeks? Life is cruel.

I will totally miss her snark. She was brave and she made me laugh so many times.

RIP, my friend. You will be missed. I will set something on fire in your honor.

Aw, so sorry to hear about Connie passing. I recall that post about her boss that would be over-eager for details about calling in sick, but it seemed like that was only last week, not three weeks ago. Hope she and DH are reunited and enjoying mead together in a feast hall somewhere in Valhalla!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This is probably wrong of me, but I hope her boss feels bad about questioning her using PTO time.

I just keep getting sadder about Connie. She and I were never even really close, but the world is definitely lessened.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm wondering how much the bad air quality last year in Utah contributed to her death.

Yeah, I know she said she had an appointment with a pulmonologist in August or September, and I think her lung capacity was found to be somewhat diminished.

So awful to lose someone and salt in the wound that FB didn't deign to show any of us for weeks! Grr.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yeah, I'm super unimpressed by what Facebook judges to be information I'd be interested in...

I have my brother marked as "show me his posts first," and even then I don't see all his posts. It's fucking ridiculous.

And also? I checked FB before I got out of bed, like you do, and my phone app showed me Lois's post in the Buffistas group first thing in my feed. But when I checked FB from my computer, it didn't show up in my feed at all. Such a shitty platform.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Hope she and DH are reunited and enjoying mead together in a feast hall somewhere in Valhalla!

I personally do not believe in an afterlife but oh, I am really fond of this idea and support it 100%.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Goddamnit. I'm pissed that Facebook is so shitty, and at myself for not realizing I hadn't heard from her lately. Connie and I got to know each other better after her husband passed away, and she was always amused by my tales of life in central Pennsylvania. I am so happy that she found her footing in the last few years. I am so sad she didn't get nearly enough time to do all of the things that she wanted.
