Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

What is even happening?

Way to go, Sophia!

Thank you, Shir.

Non sequitur: Hoping that most of you remember me mentioning EMTguy. We've been together almost 5 1/2 years now, but the big news is that he's now MedicGuy! He received his paramedic certification last month after a long year of classes and clinicals, while also working full-time. I'm super proud of him too.

Congrats to MedicGuy, Maria. (If he were my guy, would have a hard time not randomly yelling out, "Medic!" like I was doing triage in a war movie.)

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thanks, all.

Sophia, that's amazing! Today was filled with progress.

Cindy, I often do. Especially for silly things like minor burns and hangnails. He's finding it less amusing as time goes on.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay, Sophia!

Congrats to MedicGuy!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Sophia, that's great news! As is Maria's news about MedicGuy!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have to post what I texted to Maria. I know it is not the end of the line. I know I have a lot of work. But

I kind of can't believe (so far) how well this has worked out. Like it needed to happen to free me. The Buffy people were great, you are great, the ServePro people were great, the therapist is great, my work was great, theatre is dealing and I got through it when I just wanted to run away and hide. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop (hopefully I am not fired after this week off, which is always my anxiety)

Guys, everything is so clean!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am now making a deal with Maria's teenaged son to take out my garbage every Sunday night for $20. He already does his grandma's and it is within walking distance. He and I share a lot of executive function issues, so I am hoping this will be good for both of us, and earn him $20 a week ($50 this weekend because I have extra) I really liked that my therapist agreed that it isn't so much that I have to change me, I just have to have coping mechanisms set up, because, as she assured me, I am not as pathological as I fear!

The deal is done. A will come Sundays at 6 to take out my garbage and do my bidding for an hour or so. And pet the kitty.

I have a thought about Rosie the Riveter and the Morton Salt Girl fighting crime. Inspired by Jesse and -t

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Would watch. I'm envisioning something like Homefront + Foyle's War + magic realism

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm here for that.

And what a good idea re: Maria's son, Sophia.

You guys, I know someone who dressed her twin babies as Belle and the Beast. That doesn't seem right!!

I dressed as Hermione for band tonight (had a robe, bought a tie at Goodwill, borrowed a pin-on watch from my mother), so now I feel like I have two good costumes for the future!
