Thanks all. I may still have to run away from this if I can't afford the help. I mean, I can keep pushing on but it is going to be a long haul if I have to bag this living room up myself. My BFF keeps offering me bins, but it is mostly trash.
I just can't believe I have been so out of it and didn't really see it.
I have done the unfuck plenty of times, but this is way beyond that in the one room. I think I can handle it in the rest of the house.
But thank you shrift, that was thoughtful
Well, keep us posted -- I'm sure I'm not the only one who would help with the cost. It's so often that there's nothing we as a community can really do to help each other, but we are great at throwing money at a problem!
Seconding Jesse. I'm happy to help.
I can definitely chip in! Please don't hesitate to ask.
were we talking about methods for dealing with anxiety here?
Found this: [link]
That is so soothing!
Thank you all. I don't want to come across like I am asking for money. I am super anxious about it and venting but I will let you know. It is is so helpful to talk to you guys and get encouragement. This is a miracle of a place.
Especially thank you for telling me I had to tell Maria. The guilt about hiding it was killing me. I still haven't let her see and probably won't because her allergies are so bad.
Pfft. You're not asking; we're offering. (And there would be no shame in asking anyway)
And all that's true whether you're asking for money or just love.
You're doing what you can, Sophia. Leave tomorrow's problems for tomorrow.
That is shocking, Jesse! How can that be?
Unpossible, Jesse! Are you sure you didn't miss the last 5 minutes where it was revealed that it was all a lie and he really WAS the villain?
I'm nowhere especially near where you are, but if checking in with you, or remote cheerleading for each space you clear or each thing you toss, or Venmo-ing a little something your way to help with the cleaning service would help you get through this, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would help however I can.
I am also more than happy to do any of these things!
And I'm so glad you told your friend, Sophia. I'd want my dear friends to tell me!
