Vonnie, I am so sorry about this. Thank you for checking in.

Book 4 is very...meaty. Lots of stuff happens.
They should make it into a three hour series then! Or maybe four! I could have totally done with a longer adaptation of Career of Evil (they should have spent waaay more time on hurt/comfort if you ask me. Like 2 more hours of Strike worrying and angstying about Robin would have been good.)
Okay, instead of stewing in my own thoughts, I'm off to see Free Solo again in local multiplex, because there is nothing quite like watching a dude trying to kill himself while climbing 3000" rock face without a rope that says relaxing, healing time to the soul.
Good plan, Vonnie! Excellent choice of distraction.
So those cluster of flea bites I had yesterday...are Shingles. Thanks to my pharmacist for IDing it, it was caught early and I have a Rx for antivirals.
Oh my, Sue! I hope the drugs do the trick.
Oh, no, Sue.
Glad you got the right kind of treatment, Sue! Sorry it's shingles, though.
And wtf is this world, even. In addition to everything else, I feel bad that I'm mad that these shooters somehow are taken alive when so many black people are killed by police for doing nothing wrong.
I found out that a professional friend of 30 years+ has in-laws that go to that Temple, but because of illness they didn't attend today. Good lord. She'll probably have met several of the deceased at services, easily. (I can't help it, but being able to put a personal connection into it makes it seem more "real" and more awful.)
Sue! Thank goodness for pharmacists who know their stuff. If you get the anti-virals early enough, you escape most of the bad consequences of shingles, so yay for prompt diagnosis.
