Our wings are not tired.

Kidney~ma, PMM. Look forward to the relief.

Woo! Shir! Typing it out made it happen.

The Trump stuff gets worse every single day. Now he is calling it a coup. Yes, I am worried. It will get worse before it gets better.

Ann, that's a ferret.

With all the chaos going on -- in general, as well as changes in the agency where I work -- this fed has been planning to retire at the end of next year. I may move it up.

The main roadblock has been removed -- ex-Hubs and I signed the property settlement over the weekend. I can now retire without seeing my pension annuity reduced for survivor benefits.

Our wings are not tired.

I can only imagine how many highly qualified federal workers have given up and left after decades of service.

Also, {{Fred}}, I know finalization is always hard. Despite knowing it was the right decision it still hurt to divorce DH#1.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can only imagine how many highly qualified federal workers have given up and left after decades of service.

We have a few friends in the State Dept who have decided to stick it out, but nobody's happy there anymore.

They are going to be needed desperately to put the pieces back together.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The high today is supposed to reach 93°.

Tomorrow's high will be 69°.

Because books.

{{{Fred}}}

The whole impeachment thing is scary fascinating. But beyond the spectacle, I'm worried about what happens next.

The high today is supposed to reach 93°.

I am wearing my most summery clothes, and flip-flops, and praying this is summer's last gasp. I also reserved The October Country by Ray Bradbury at the library this morning.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm wearing my puffy down jacket today, not just because it's cold now (49!) but I'm also going to the As game tonight...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just put the AC on because it's both warm and so humid that I can't stop sweating. But I'm drinking a spiced chai latte and trying to pretend it's Autumn.

Amy, I started a tradition a few years ago of also reading a Bradbury in October, and this year I decided to read From the Dust Returns.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tomorrow's high will be 69°.

We're a day behind you -- today and tomorrow are still going to be in the 90s, but Friday's high will (ALLEGEDLY) be 70. We also haven't had significant rain in a while, so our lawn looks brown and sad. But at least I'm almost done mowing for the year.
