Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My MIL got Mr. S a toddler-sized table and chairs. He broke one of the legs off the table this morning. (I don't know exactly how, but judging by the sounds I heard from downstairs, he either hit it with something, or banged it into the wall or door. I suspect the latter.)

Mr. Destructo strikes again....sigh.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

That is a magnificent article. Thank you for the C&P, Cindy!

Escobedo, employing great understatement, added: "This probably was a bad idea."

Fire is only to be used on outdoor garden pests! This is what Dad taught me.

I have been in a meeting with my coworker for TWO AND A HALF HOURS while we go through this style guide, in addition to the 2.5 hours yesterday. It is 5:37 on Friday. LET MY PEOPLE GO.

If that meeting doesn't end with your co-worker signing a blood pact that they will always use the style guide, you are justified in strangling them.

Oh, she's on board with the style guide. Very much so. I heard a lot about the history of style decisions dating back to at least 2007.

What is even happening?

That is a magnificent article. Thank you for the C&P, Cindy!

You are most welcome. I love it so much.

Sometimes the universe hands you an opportunity to craft great prose. And the editor says "Really? OK, we've got inches to fill anyway."

I'm just so glad I bothered to click on the link this morning, before all the fascism rushed back in to fill the landscape. In my head, I heard Dateline's Keith Morrison reading it.

Wow, Dana. Is this always the same coworker?

Thrive to spite them

I kept making really small yet stupid mistakes all day today and I just want this week to end. I have been nibbled to death very slowly by ducks.

The only good news is I increased my ADD meds and felt calmer.

Then I realized I scheduled my first appointment for the crown/bridge on Monday before work. Before I work open to close.

It's too late to cancel the appointment so I just have to hope for the best.

Oy, Dana. I'm sorry. I don't know why I feel like spreading the annoying around to different people would be better, but I do.

Good luck, askye! I'm glad to hear the meds are helping.

I did something today! I cleaned the sink in my bathroom. Just the sink, the rest of the room needs work, but that's something. And I feel like I am on top of the whole Halloween costume situation. I still need to figure out what to wear Thursday and Friday, but that should be relatively easy, right? Just clothes.
