Wait. People? She eats people? 'To Serve Man.' It's 'To Serve Man' all over again.

Because books.

In short, time and money and immune systems are all huge problems why do we even have them the end.

So much this.

Just found Catherine, the owner of the bakery where I worked (and still sometimes pitch in) has cancer in one eye, a large-ish tumor. She asked me to come in tomorrow to figure out how to handle some things while she goes back to France for surgery and treatment, and I'm stuck between worry and FUCK CANCER right now.

So I'm...cleaning? I don't even know.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{Amy}} Yeah, I worry-clean sometimes. Asserting control over an uncaring and chaotic universe, I guess.

You are a rock star, Jesse! Take your victory lap and hit the showers.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, Amy. That all sounds right.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I made Alexandra Petri laugh in her WaPo chat, so shouldn't that be enough of an accomplishment for the day??

YOU WIN TODAY!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Instead of a victory lap, I get to go to a two-hour "new leader assimilation" meeting, so we'll see how that goes.

Our wings are not tired.

That does not sound like the victory prize you truly deserve, Jesse.

Sorry about the ick, Jessica. Good luck with the considerable juggling you have going on there.

Did you change jobs recently and start working for the Children of the Corn?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Today is month end close and because I cranked through things yesterday, I was done early. Now just waiting to see if there are errors.

I have several errands I'd love to take care of, but can only do if we finish early.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I did some work, ate lunch, and now I'm AGAIN expected to do more work? This is setting up a terrible precedent.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That's a really bad habit you're forming, Dana.
