Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Well, Luna is scared of everyone, but it doesn't help when he yells and stomps in her direction. Nova...that varies. Some days he's sweet, wanting to "purr the cat" and other days he grabs her roughly.

Our wings are not tired.

It helps with socialization to have pets. Cats aren't as tolerant as most dogs, but they also can get away really easy.

#2 son took me to breakfast this morning. Had omelette with fried green tomatoes, goat cheese and a balsamic glaze. ''Twas tasty. #1 son clearly knows I am annoyed and trying to make nice. Messaged me pictures of his clean kitchen. His brother brought him paper towels as requested to accomplish the job.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm glad he's making some progress, Laura.

So I had the stomach bug or food poisoning Thursday, was okay Friday, and woke up with a probable cold this morning. Deeply unfair.

Giving Dana's body the stink eye. Not right!

Timelies all!

Took the cats to the vet this morning. Both are basically healthy, though they need their teeth cleaned, and poor Luna's claws had grown into her paw pads, so they had to soak her paws and give her an antibiotic shot.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We got a surprise new couch today! We bought a cheap "for now" couch and matching loveseat when we moved here and I hate them with a passion. One of our cats has basically shredded the back and arms of the couch and it was kinda ugly to begin with. I've been mentioning a new couch for months, but we are paying off credit card debt from having the garage roof redone. The DH found out about a local company which makes smart, sustainable and cool couches and we decided to check them out. [link]

We went today, just to see if they are actually comfortable. We figured we could get one in a few months if we save up. HOWEVER, they were having their annual sale and the exact couch we wanted was $745! Still a chunk of change, but affordable for a nice couch. I'm sitting on it right now AIFG. The people at the company were all very cool and helpful, too. Now we gotta save up enough to replace the loveseat and all will be copacetic, living room-wise.

That's exciting, Scrappy!

I took a boat to an island off the coast of Colombia and laid on a shaded bed thing all day. It is so hot here, but worse than that is how humid it is!! And then the water was bathwater warm! But now I'm back at the hotel for a bit in AC. Last night on this tour, starting tomorrow I'm on my own!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The smaller stage for BBQ Fest is set up right in front of my apartment, and the current band includes a singer who's screaming the lyrics of "Pony" rather than letting the instruments carry the heavy load. Having gotten a good look at the festival crowd earlier, there is no way I'm looking out my window to see if anyone is dancing to the song.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's awesome, scrappy!

Still super jealous of/inspired by your trip, meara!

That sounds like the right call.
