We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well done, Connie.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has impeachment perfume. It sounds delightful. [link]

Our wings are not tired.

Off the grid the past couple days so I just caught up. Bottom line, I've missed you guys!

I left Otter Lake 5:45 AM on Monday and drove 14 hours including charging stops to a few miles south of Richmond. Fell into deep slumber about 9 PM then hit the road again 4 AM on Tuesday because I knew I was facing a 16 hour day of driving and thought it preferable to drive in the dark on the front end rather than at the end. Got home at 8 PM just after it got dark.

For 2 days I ignored DH's phone calls telling him my internet was down and my phone in Otter Lake only runs on WiFi so he had to handle my work stuff. Talked to him a couple times when I theoretically was in town with cell service. He must have tried calling me 25 times on Monday! Only tried a couple times yesterday.

When I pulled into the driveway my son had managed to delay him trying to leave saying his FIL was coming by in moments because he knew my ETA. DH was completely surprised. Never expected to see me at all. When I pulled in he saw the dog in the back and thought I was my DIL pulling in and that for some reason she had a dog. Same type car, expect mine is red and hers is blue, but not that unusual for them to bring home a different car since they work at Tesla. Then he was confused because it wasn't Tate. When I got out he was stunned. Cool stuff.

So, yes I am getting old to drive 30 hours in 2 days, but it was really fun to surprise DH that way. Bobby said it was a combo of how effortless it is for me to lie convincingly and how completely gullible his dad is.

Then I got up this morning at 4:30 because bodies are stupid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, that's fun.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

No go on the Pittsburgh job. Sigh.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yay! I couldn't find apple cider donuts for a program event, but I discovered Maple Apple Doughnut Muffins, which are about 2 bites each and perfect for a Welcome Autumn event.

I mean, aside from being an ungodly mix of donut and muffin...

The yay was for Laura's surprise, not not for Pittsburgh and Dana.

Those muffins sound amazing and very deserving of a yay.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm sorry, Dana.

I don't have ingredients for imPEACHment pie, but I do have some lovely farmer's market plums, which I shall declare Close Enough.
