A pecan hand pie is super similar what we (Canada) call a butter tart (w. pecans and not vile raisins) and they are delicious. So I can vouch that two-bite size ones would be perfect.

Oh fuck now I'm going to be craving butter tarts all day. Fortunately we ate all the plum hand pies I made over the weekend so I have an excuse to bake more things.

I realize when you say "hand pie" I picture an empanda shape. But a mini pecan pie would be a tart(let) to me. And a tiny pecan pie made in a mini cupcake tin is so great!!

In short, I have already ruined my appetite for lunch eating treats in a meeting, and now I just want pie.

After I got her car home yesterday she didnt ask about driving until dinner by then the PT had set up an appointment. And I said wait. The PT came for the initial visit. Did her assessment. Mom has balance problems but her strength is ok. And no driving until the doctor clears her. When she asked why the PT said she would wait until the doctor could give her reasons. Which makes me wonder if there is something else going on but they would have mentioned it. I pointed out she has balance issues and she is easily fatigued and that fatigue impairs her driving.

She cant go to water aerobics while she is doing the PT , which is another blow but mom tires easily it's a good thing. I've been worried because mom gets short of breath easily but she kept brushing it off. The PT noticed it and commented on it. Mom still didn't realize. So at mom's follow up appointment I am going to ask about this.

Therapy today. That was s suckfest of suck. No answers. No amount of "you're doing the right things" makes me feel one ounce better or can tell me if my kid is safe.
