Applied for a job somewhat on a whim a couple weeks ago. Could be interesting but not sure I'd want it. Willing to find out more. They just called (yay) and informed me the first step is for me to record a video answering some questions. Wtf. Is this really the new way? Not just a telephone interview? Ugh.
Just spoke with a recruiter today about a job that sounds pretty interesting. She said she'd get back to me about Next Steps. If this is one, I'm not sure how interested I am.
Hmmm, tartlets!

One of the agencies that my son is working with had him do a video interview to show the prospective employers. My first reaction, and what I told him, was that that way the employers can see if he is white. My first impression still stands.
Oh dear lord, recording a video as part of the job hunting process? Ick ick ick kill it with fire ptui
Also, that dog has a very graceful swoon! Kudos
Will your cinematography be judged? The background? Will they be judging on whether someone is attractive enough to work there, without the hassle of having to see them in real life?
The big dog (Maya, I dog sit for) and little dog (Miley, foster) are annoying each other and getting into barking battles. I think I am annoyed more than either of them.
Miley wants all the attention. Maya wants to go for a walk. Miley also wants to play and I think Maya is scared of her - it's not a great cycle and so super Alpha voice has come out and everyone has been told to go to their places and be quiet.
It's almost dinner time for them and after that maybe it'll be cool enough to take a walk. Ugh - just looked it is still going to be 90 degrees at 8pm.
Scanning for not-POC, not-old, and not-ugly, in a way that they don't have to tell you to your face and justify it according to law. Nope, nope, nope.
Figures I have a rehearsal and the Saints have a season-opening Monday night game.
It's pecan, which is pretty sweet, so can stand a high crust to filling ratio. Because the crust is the best part.
A pecan hand pie is super similar what we (Canada) call a butter tart (w. pecans and not vile raisins) and they are delicious. So I can vouch that two-bite size ones would be perfect.

After DH's Canadian grandparents passed away it fell to me to make the butter tarts. Way sweeter than I tolerate myself, but DH was super pleased and missed his Gramma less.
