I've received quite a few texts and each time respond back with encouraging words. Haven't had any from the other side. I wouldn't be rude to them though.

Normally I go for naproxen because my migraine doc told me to take it, but sometimes I really feel like aspirin does the trick, even though I feel like nobody takes it these days.
I took low dose aspirin, but the docs at NIH says it won't really keep me alive. Though I really took low dose aspirin when I was pregnant and we all see how well that worked.
(Also, I love you people. I love that we can still find topics where we are all, "well, I do this" and it's all informational and not preachy).
(Though not with muffaletas or cilantro or cutlery or commas).
Am I listening to a meeting where my coworker and a PM go round in circles? Or am I reading Venom fic which may or may not involve tentacles?
Why not both?
The PM is gone, yet she is still talking to me.
I should really do text-banking. I like getting the texts so much more than anything else!
My doctor friends say if aspirin was "invented" today they would charge a small fortune for the stuff. Mostly they are still fans.
I believe this. On the rare occasion I've taken aspirin in the last 10 years or so, I always feel so much better and then think. "This *is* a miracle drug." When I take it, I take Bufferin and I take it with food, which makes it much easier on my stomach. [link]
meara, since you're injecting a blood thinner, they may not want you on it. I didn't know you weren't supposed to take ibuprofen with a bone break until you said it here.
I broke my wrist last year, took it, told them I was taking it and it was taking care of the pain (when I was treated) and nobody said boo to me about it.
I'd be miffed, but the wrist seemed to heal fine, and I'm currently out of places to store my miff.
My mother was on Percocet or Vicodin for Shingles pain about 20 years ago. She found that she minded the drug-is-wearing-off-pain more on it, than she did on Ibuprofen or Tylenol, so she stopped taking the opiate.
Oh I'm definitely not taking aspirin right now. But normally.
With the NSAIDs it may be a small thing? With a fracture vs surgery, or vs putting in pins and stuff?
Oh, man, my company is using a different format for our Halloween costume contest. Instead of just gathering for a half hour or so at lunch time and seeing what everyone is wearing, we are supposed to submit a photo and they'll all be shown on TVs in the break room for a couple of hours and everyone who passes through will vote on their favorites. Which is all fine, but not very social, which is what I liked about previous years, since people have incorporated little performance-y things and whatnot. I didn't even notice until it was pointed out to me today that we are supposed to submit our photos by MONDAY.
This is not quite as against all sense as the "report your Random Acts of Kindness to get credit for this employee incentive program" thing (I just can't even with that), but it's pretty silly.
Wait, you have to submit a photo before Halloween? Do you have to then dress up again on Halloween?
