You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Why blowback?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Why blowback?

Ha! From Rey/Kylo shipping fans!

Oh, fandom...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Non-electric heating pads: you really can't top a hot water 'bottle', the rubber kind, for nice heating

SO TRUE.

Speaking of age, guess who has two thumbs and also a 5mm kidney stone? THAT'S RIGHT, ME.

I dislike this. (Edited to add that I like the hot water bottle that has been helping me through this difficult time. I like it very much.)

I have a lot of HS friends on FB. I dig them, but high school was pretty fun for me and also I went to high school with some amazing people.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yeowch, PMM! May it resolve soon.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, heating pads are wonderful. The microwave deals are okay if you have fear of falling asleep and cooking yourself or something. But I don't.

Ouch, PMM! Much ~ma.

They're not missing me, and I feel no impulse to see any of them again.

This!

My kids were supposed to be back to FL yesterday after a week in Tennessee, but they had car issues and the vehicle is stuck in SC until Friday so they are spending a few days in Charlotte with cousins. They had time available to them at work, but not really how they planned to spend it. They seemed in good humor overall about the whole thing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm supposed to start working out again today. Trying to figure out where I left my motivation and my fitbit.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It has been my experience that large book publishers mostly do not understand libraries, digital technology, or their customers.

I have no idea where any of my HS reunions have taken place. Huh.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

sj, if it helps any, my fitbit is in my nightstand drawer and I'm not sure but I suspect my motivation may be in there also. So check yours?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My nightstand doesn't have a drawer. Seriously, where is it?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Found it in the basket near the door where I keep my keys!
