Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

No iced coffee and no McDonald breakfast? That's a no from me. (I admit, I went to a McDonald's in Japan one morning because we were so sick of 7-11 pastries for breakfast)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

No iced coffee in Brazil is a very strange fact. I'm having a hard time absorbing it into my worldview.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's been a very long day. Ground transportation problems on both ends. We had tickets for the airport express bus, which are supposed to run every 10 minutes. We waited half an hour before one came by, which was full. So was the next one. We ended up taking a cab. We had to deal with Mr. S's antics on the nearly 8 hour flight. We had reservations on a SuperShuttle to get home. It took an hour before we got one.

Now we're all tired and cranky.

Oof. Sorry, Sheryl. I hope being home is more restful for all of you - for a little while, at least.

I'm pretty sure that if I went to sleep right now I would wake up around 2 am and be ready to back to sleep right around when I'm supposed to start work, so I am trying really hard to stay awake but it's not easy. It's mandatory fun day tomorrow, so I should put some thought into what I'm going to wear...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, that sounds terrible, Sheryl.

Update: Am eating popcorn. Sorry, sj.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Well someone has to eat all the popcorn.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Has Matilda seen Twelve Forever on Netflix?

She's actually just started watching it. After I said I would kick in the TV if she watched another episode of Dance Moms.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I hear there's an awful lot of coffee in Brazil... but no iced? Inconceivable!

I got a carful of safety inspectors on their way to a surprise inspection at the big generator plant in Everett, so I expect somebody somewhere was not going to have a good day. I told them I was going to know who to praise when the plant doesn't blow up.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

TFW you make a credit card balance to a zero interest card and it shows up on the new card, but is also still showing up on the old card.

I am on hold now, but so help me dog if I transferred some rando person's debt to myself am going to lose it.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I hear there's an awful lot of coffee in Brazil...

My brain made a hopscotch jump from that to get earwormed with Rosemary Clooney singing "Brazil."
