Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There were rumors that PornHub wanted to by Tumblr; this is a better outcome than that. It's also a better outcome than Tumblr staying with Verizon.

I don't know if it's a good thing, though.

Hah, I am not going to space camp. But I totally would go to space camp! I am that kind of nerd heck yes.

Meanwhile, I am totally dithering on what to do about my plans for a trip in October. Two different tours look ok both (one is a little fancier and more expensive?) but then I'm not sure how much longer after the tours I should plan to stay, or what—and if a tour is even the right idea, and it's kind of expensive for a week, but then again do I really want to be solo, and I can just plan to stay longer on my own but if I'm doing that should I even do the tour and and and...cannot decide.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Wow, um, Tumblr.

Sorry for no space camp, meara, but yay CAMP! I'm sure you'll make a good choice for you.

Katie, all possible good thoughts sent your way and your dad's.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Wait, Wordpress did what now? Do not know if want.

Herding cats for fun

The doctors say, maybe Wednesday we will have information. Dad is deeply asleep with all the Propofol to keep him from seizing. He did make a little "hmm" noise deep in his chest when I spoke to him. That's the sound he makes when he's not quite going to laugh. I took that as a good sign.

My stepmother prepared me for the idea of letting him go instead of becoming a ventilated vegetable, which is what I think he would prefer even though he chickened out on having that conversation with me like she wanted him to. We're not to the point of having to decide that yet.

Thanks for listening.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

So much ~ma, Katerina. I'm thinking of you and your family.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Time is on your side in this, and on his. Holding my fingers crossed!

Our wings are not tired.

Holding you in my heart, Katerina.

I'm trying to become more a creature of habit, a change from the totally random lifestyle I have generally enjoyed. Doing my laundry on Monday, Tuesday is my trash day. Early in the morning I loaded the recycles and trash into the car and drove the long winding mountain road to the transfer station, which for some reason is up near the ski resort. The dog actually jumped into my back seat unassisted for the first time and we had a really nice ride. Only saw one deer, but did see a nice family of turkeys.

DH is back in Florida. My DIL facetimed me yesterday so the cats could say hello. She is too cute.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I understand that Yahoo bought tumblr for $1 billion (with a "b") and Wordpress is getting it for $3 million (with an "m"). So, bit of a fire sale there. Who'd have thought removing the porn and keeping the Nazis would have monetary consequences? (Aside from roughly everyone.)

In other, unrelated news, I did the first draft of a project, due tomorrow, last Friday. And I came in today thinking that I had so much stuff I needed to do to finalize it. Turned out I needed to spend five minutes writing and another 30 seconds printing something out. That was it. Usually, it works out the other way around.
