Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2016: We know the world didn't end, because, check it out!

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering.

Go away, 2016.

My 2016: I put moving into high gear, finding and finalizing a place, then abusing the patience and generosity of my family with a scorched earth clearing of my house. Aside from what's left in the old garage that I can write off with a sigh if I have to, everything I own is in my apartment. It's time to formulate my new life.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

So proud of you, Connie. I know it's been really hard and overwhelming. It is great to see you really taking positive steps to shape this new phase.

Brava, Connie! That's a lot to deal with.

I also got a lovely card from Suzi, and it inspired me to write a bunch of holiday cards tonight. It has been several years since I sent any, and I worry that a lot of my addresses will be bad. Ah, well...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay you guys, yay!

A general suggestion to post here if you're going to be out of town over the next few weeks, and are participating in the gift exchange whose abbreviation I cannot remember. I mean, feel free to post your travel plans regardless, I'm not the boss of you!

PS: I'm not going anywhere.

hip deep in pie

I'll be out of town from December 18th-27th but there will be someone at my house every day feeding my cat, or the post office will hold packages for me if they're sent for pick-up.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Good point, Jesse! And I'm sticking close to home over the holidays.

Our wings are not tired.

I shall be floating in the Caribbean from the 18th to the 26th and posting many pictures of relaxed bliss. My son and GF will be home to get mail, but they work during the day.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'll be rambling around the midwest from 12/23-12/27, with my mail on hold. Our mail carrier/post office doesn't always recognize the whole "hold mail" concept, but I'll also have people in and out for cat care, so if a package shows they'll know what to do.
