'Beneath You'

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2016: We know the world didn't end, because, check it out!

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering.

Go away, 2016.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

You are welcome, Dana & Msbelle. I love those elephants...I have one on my own tree right now, AIFG. I always *mean* to do something nice for Msbelle for hosting, but I think about it after the fact, and then I usually don't have the money anymore...it's always good when timing and manners align. ETA: we love that soup mix and also that the company itself gives jobs to women from tough situations. They also have mixes for other things that I buy sometimes. Year in review? maybe I'll wait a bit.

Well, okay, why not. This has been a decent year for me personally, if it did piss me off on the macro level a lot.Doing lots of stuff with PDA...hopefully a few things that will make me feel a little less like the 6,000 year-old intern, although they are nice people and I don't mind doing interny things for them. Made a little money, did a little dating(nothing serious, but we still like each other) and found out new kitty is part ragdoll and part Sacred Cat of Burma, which means she is cute, blue-eyed and soft-spoken and will never yowl like a siamese. Still chasing my writing goals. Maybe I could be happy if I could get rid of the thought that this was the life I wanted at, like, nineteen, mangled in shipment.(Which also intensifies the "I'm sixteen and I don't want to die," geopolitical feels...I want the next part, however settled contents may be. Also, Arpaio's gone soon.)

Because books.

I got an awesome card from Suzi, and also a sweet card from msbelle! AND a fantastically wonderful gift from my Secret Santa! (Who is not so secret anymore, but that's totally okay.)

I got the most gorgeous knitted eternity scarf in green with all kinds of accent color flecks, a beautiful basket of French truffles, and the Best Socks Ever (TM), which read "I had fucks to give ... once." Thank you, Secret Santa!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I also got a msbelle card! What a delightful thing to find in my mailbox on an otherwise crappy day.
