I'm glad Killjoys is back.

Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The new Doctor has been revealed. It's finally a woman.
Yay. I can't wait to see what haopens
Damn, people are SUPER butthurt in that comment section.
Not reading the comments. This is just delightful news.
Laura's tagline seems especially relevant today.
(For posterity: " I didn't know how to respond to the bat-shit crazy. And then I realized I didn't have to. -Victor Infante")
Every time I go to change it I end up keeping it because more relevant every day.
Oh, that's a pleasant surprise! I'd resigned myself to it being that excessively whitebread young guy from Love, Actually.
Only pity is there won't be any continuity of companions to be gobsmacked by the Doctor switching genders. I hope they at least have Kate Stewart appear for a reaction at some point.
Excellent! I'd been concerned too, especially about the Kris Marshall rumours. I liked him in My Family, but I didn't see what he would bring to Doctor Who that would be new. Chris Chibnall's past comments on the casting had worried me, namely "Nothing is ruled out but I don't want the casting to be a gimmick and that's all I can say." The impression that he regarded casting someone other than a white male as a gimmick was concerning, not just for this decision but for the show generally. Glad to learn that was not where he was going with it.
Incidentally, I've seen a comment that apparently The Curse of Fatal Death has been the blueprint for the progression of Nu Who Doctors: The Clever Witty one, Lick the Mirror Handsome, Awkward with Girls, Older Chap, and Blonde Woman. So that's nice.
