I'm more bothered by how quickly they manage to remove the eye makeup under their masks than Curtis' hair. Though that's been a weird superhero thing since the 1989 Batman.
Maybe it's that peel-off facial mask stuff instead of makeup, so they can just grab an edge and yank it off their skin after changing into civvies?

The blackhead remover variety looks basically like an oil slick, so probably close enough for whatever makeup the show actually uses to stand in for it.

Considering that wearing a mask all the time is probably terrible for your complexion, it sounds like that solution is a win-win.
