I wanted more Carlos Valdes. I would have traded Barry's last song for more Carlos Valdes.
Yeah, but every musical needs a love song, even if it was the weakest of the bunch. And Vibe did get to be all superhero-y in the real world.
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And Penny... I'm feeling hyper protective about him because everyone is so completely dickish to him!
I love Penny. He's growly and irritable and convinced the world is out to screw him over. However, so far the show has proven him right about that last bit, so. He still steps up to do the right thing more often than not. I want to wrap him in a blanket and feed him soup and cookies. As opposed to Eliot to whom I want to feed vodka and with whom I'd love to discuss early 20th century English literature. It would be fun to talk magical theory and the differences in skills acquisition with Julia and Margot (although I fear the latter would not approve of my dress style--eh, I'm 49, she might figure I'm beyond caring).
Quentin can wash the cocktail shaker out between rounds.
Flash: not enough music in general, but what there was was adorable. I could have had a whole episode of the dad's singing.
Arrow: wow that was grim.
Arrow: wow that was grim.
The worst part is how little I care.
The best part was seeing John Barrowman. I expected him to burst into song.
Was there a particular reason that they didn't save Mr. Mxyzptlk for the instigator of this musical crossover instead of wasting him as an entitled creepy stalker played by some wooden spokesmodel with oily hair? Because it seems like a dimension-hopping caper that leads to an entertaining alternate reality would be right up his alley.
That Arrow fucked me up. I didn't realized I was that emotionally attached to Oliver Queen. Oh honey. You don't like it; you like the feeling of control it gives you.
OMG you guys, that Magicians scene. (And at the exact moment when I was thinking "Hey, there are a lot of bits missing!" Margo interrupts and says "I'm sorry, I have to skip around, some of these verses just aren't relevant to our situation." THANK YOU, MARGO, YOU GET IT.)
I think I wish the Flash episode had been maybe an hour and a half, so we could get more of Carlos and Jeremy Jordan (who is a hell of a belter) and Jesse L. Martin and Barrowman and Victor Garber.
Though I do feel like Victor Garber's age is starting to show a wee bit, with the size of his vibrato. It's starting to border on church choir soprano.
If I don't watch those shows, but love a musical and several of those actors, should I track that one down?
