For those who aren't on FB, DH interviewed Claudia Black and wrote a really fantastic article about Farscape, Aeryn, and feminism for IWD.

Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
When you posted that on Facebook, I didn't realize it was you, so I got to the end and was surprised (and such a sweet wonderful moment)
Yay, my DVDs of The Librarians are here! No longer dependent on other people's sources!
Jessica, this is a marvelous article.
(but I have to say the bit about SMG "mopping the floor" with CB just makes me wish ita were here to referee... sigh.)
I'm watching my Librarians DVDs--and there are missing scenes! I'm pretty sure. Was Hulu airing edited shows? I'll have to watch them all very carefully.
Legends of Tomorrow is SO MUCH BETTER this year. I wonder how long it took them to realize that the show was actually a comedy?
The stuff with Victor Garber and Rory in Mission Control, oh my god.
I loved that! and there was a repeat at the end ... I didn't quite catch if the other Legends had that on a recording and it will be something they drag out to embarrass them (over and over).
I am finding both The Flash and Arrow super tedious this season, which gives me a sadface given how much I loved them just a couple of years back. I'm a few eps behind on both and tried to watch the last week's ep of The Flash last night, then became totally paralyzed with not caring very much. (Every ep, I find myself going, "Barry, you are the WORST" and not in a good way.) Still sort of interested in the musical crossover with Supergirl so should prolly catch up, but.... eh. It's encouraging that LoT is much better this season though -- once the season ends and makes it to Netflix, I'll probably give it a go.
The one genre show I dug this season was Timeless, which finished its abbreviated run a few weeks back. It's basically a SyFy channel show masquerading as a network TV -- the plots are preposterous, but the characters are super lovable. The central trio has great chemistry together and every episode made me happy with "YAY TEAM" feelings. And one of the more impressive things it did well was touching on various under-taught moments in black history through Rufus, who is African-American and is the main tech person in the trio (and is my favooooourite). Worth checking out if you want a light SFnal adventure yarn with a fun group dynamic.
It was a great episode, and I'm so glad they decided that Sara is the better captain.
Yeah, Timeless is fun.
I'm...not really sure much of anything has happened recently on The Flash.
