A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Aw, man, the whitefont rules are so quaint anymore -- what even is "aired" in this future world we live in?
Since sj's post reminded me, I'm half way it to watching the first ep of Wolfpack. I'm going to whitefont, because I honestly don't know...
So, if I were watching NOT because of SMG, I'd be mildly intrigued, but I probably wouldn't even have checked it out. Since I am watching for SMG, I was getting all "OK, we're half way in, all the beautiful young things are, indeed, beautiful, but... where's my girl?!?" Woman, now, of course. Anyway, she finally made her walk-on, yay! And now I begin watching in earnest...
Now I finish watching.
Big smile.
That could totally be the Slayer. I mean, that's no my expectation -- it is just nice to see SMG quipping through danger again. Yes, indeed.
I'll certainly give it a shot.
Anyone watch Gotham Knights?
I tried, but decided I didn't care about the characters about 20 minutes in.
I was kind of losing interest at that point but I stuck through it and I was much more interested at the end. Mostly because I'm really liking Duela, the actress reminds me of someone but I can't think of who. Which is the same for the actress who plays Stephanie, she looks like another actress but I can't pinpoint who.
I'm not sure how police and the district attorney's office works in the Bat world but it's ...not believable. Especially Harvey Dent, he is The Worst ADA right now.
Gotham's Bruce Wayne was a much better poor little rich kid than Batman's Adopted Son.
The first ten minutes of Gotham Knights was absolute bonkers and then it got bonkerser
I wouldn't even have watched if Misha Collins hadn't tweeted the thing he's most proud of is treating the canonically trans character with respect and now I think I'm hooked
admittedly it was the thing that happened in the last five minutes that really sold me
I saw a tweet/tik tok about the moment with the trans character, and the tweeter was overcome with emotion to see a canonically trans character being protected and respected by GCPD. As they put it "he's not even good cop, really. He's just being a decent human being." Makes me want to watch the show just to give them the props.
I liked both how that was done AND The interaction with Cullen and his sister Harper afterwards about Harper being overprotective about Cullen because that felt real on both their parts. Hopefully tonight's episode will tighten things up some.
speaking of good trans rep on scifi TV shows I'm still loving Quantum Leap
I understand Riverdale is coming back for a final season tonight.
