I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Uh, how far into the series are you? Not that there's anything to make you stop watching, it just gets more and more preposterous.

I finished S3E10 last night. I'm expending a lot of energy rolling my eyes at every single scene involving anything medical or sciencey. I can willingly suspend my disbelief for the concept of hot aliens, but holy shit that is not how medicine or science works.

I have zero use for Max. I don't dislike him; he's just...wallpaper. Which makes Jones equally uninteresting. Like, just fuck off to some other planet, my guy, and bore them to death.

I deeply love Kyle Valenti's perpetual "What new fuckery are you dragging me into?" face.

I would have been so happy if every episode featured Alex whacking his dad in the back of the head with his crutch.

And while I'm wholeheartedly a fan of Michael and Alex getting together, it turns out that I'm also really a big fan of a good old-fashioned canonical threesome. Way to go, show.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I'm pleased to tell you that all of your thoughts are correct. A friend and I always talk about how the show would fall apart without Kyle, because they need him as a doctor, and because he usually has custody of the one brain cell.

Not exactly spoilery for S4, but I would have wanted to know: Tyler Blackburn had some kind of back injury at some point, so he's in maybe 4 or 5 eps of the season.

Oh yeah, I did see that on Tumblr. Terrible timing, man.

he usually has custody of the one brain cell.

I mean, none of the rest of them should be allowed to have the brain cell anyway.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I forget where this should go, but I think hereā€¦ anyone want to talk about WWDOITS Guillermo coming out to his family and the fight with Nadja ?

I caught up with Roswell enough to watch it in real time, so my big question (pretty much for Dana, I think) is -- Malex handprint: yes or no? I feel like there's a better than 50% chance at yes. (I'm assuming the showrunners aren't stupid enough to kill their gay, so I'm ignoring that as a possibility entirely and just trying to figure out how exactly Alex will be saved. Because I *also* want to see Sanders in a tux. Who wouldn't?)

I think that narratively speaking, it makes perfect sense, and with this show, that is absolutely no guarantee that it will actually happen. But a fangirl can hope and try to manifest the handprint she wants to see in the world.

And I'm always running a little behind on WWDITS, but the way the setup of the whole dinner worked, and the big secret being that Guillermo was less worried about living with vampires and more worried about being gay, was beautifully done.

Fair, but I also wasn't expecting a proposal last week, so maybe they're on a roll here.

Right on.

Once again posting pretty much for Dana: half an hour until the RNM finale! Tim hasn't watched any of it, and said "Is the series finale a bad place to jump in?" (Definite sarcasm, btw.) I said "Well, at least when you go back to season 1, you'll know everyone's ultimate fate, and that's pretty soothing." I also told him he could only ask me stuff during the commercials or he ran the risk of a stabbing.

I genuinely hope they get rid of Clyde in the cold open, because he is a goddamn tool and I have no use for him, and there's too much other shit to wrap up. I've seen spoilery promo photos, so I'm just ready to get to the good stuff.

Naturally I was traveling back from DragonCon and couldn't watch it live. I'll get it in the morning.
