A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Vikings is exciting but no, it's not about fighting evil, and the characters you like sometimes do terrible things. I stopped watching after about 3-4 seasons, although I keep thinking I'll check in because I really loved Lagertha.
Wynonna Earp is sort of Buffy x SPN, as a Western. Lots of family lore, and demons, and the occasional mysterious government agency. Wynonna was a fuckup when she was young, and now she's back in town and learns she has inherited the duty to fight demons from her g-g-g-grandfather Wyatt Earp. I mostly enjoyed the first season, haven't gotten back to watch the rest.
We're several seasons behind on Vikings. We dropped a lot of shows when ltc was born, but that is one I'd like to get back to.
I'm two episodes into Warrior Nun, and I've decided I'm calling it EuroBuffy.
I thought that was Hexed?
We only got through Hamilton tonight, but tomorrow: Warrior Nun!
....that is definitely not how I'd describe
Hexed.
You could argue for a "if you like X you might like Y" kind of thing, but it's really not the same kind of show.
I haven't had a chance to watch it myself, but I've heard good things about The Witcher from friends, even those that haven't played the games; if Henry Cavill fighting evil in a ridiculous wig is your thing.
Wynonna Earp improves as it goes on, the first season is definitely the weakest because there is soooo much mythology infodumping going on.
Watched the first episode of Warrior Nun tonight, which did not disappoint. I have to keep watching it, because I need to know what happens. I'm intrigued by the Eurotrash Grifters, want to know what the story is with the priest Father I-Am-Clearly-Hiding-Something, and kind of love the Vaguely Lesbian Warrior Nuns. (Okay, some of them are more than "vaguely" lesbian.)
Any monster-fighting nuns are going to have some seriously big shoes to fill in Sister Agatha from the BBC Dracula.
