Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
True.
I've watched about half of S1 of The Magicians, and it's pretty entertaining. I read the first 2 books and found Quentin utterly intolerable in them, but I really like him in the show. Penny is a total dick and I love him. Also, I think the actor who plays Eliot is like 10 feet tall. It's very distracting.
I only have yesterday's episode of The Magicians to watch. I watched all the seasons over the past few weeks. Excellent distraction. I didn't read the books. Should I?
When I finished The Magicians I moved on to Stranger Things. I'm well into S3 now with that one. If I keep going at this rate on the television thing I am never going to manage to finish a book again.
I just started rewatching The Magicians, too!
The Flash introduced their version of Sue Dibny (as Sue Dearbon) this week, and she is totally awesome. They also introduced Evan McCulloch's Mirror Master (as Eva McCulloch).

I haven't read them because I heard an interview with the author on a podcast ages ago and thought he sounded like kind of a dick. But some people do love them!

These two things are probably not unrelated. It helps a LOT to have Penny constantly calling out Quentin's bullshit.

Ha! Fair point. I just really didn't think the show could redeem book!Quentin for me, but it really has. (I also possibly over-identify with TV!Quentin, but I'm not looking too closely at that right now.)
Totally enjoyed reading the Magicians. I liked seeing Quentin developing from whiny insecure kid into a heroic man. TV Penny is awfully hot.
