Mal: You were dead! Tracy: Hunh? Oh. Right. Suppose I was. Hey there, Zoe.

'The Message'

Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

So if one wanted to jump into the Crisis crossovers after not watching any DC TV for a couple of years, where is a good place to start?

This season's Flash and Arrow mostly. That's where most of the lead up is. Both shows did short arcs (Arrow because it's ending soon, and Flash because they finally smartened up about the expiration dates on Big Bads). Harbinger comes out of Arrow, and Pariah comes out of Flash.

Cool, thanks!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, THAT certainly came as a shock! I recognized Sacha Dhawan and wondered if there was a chance he might be joining as a companion this season, but couldn't recall any press about him appearing on the show. Now we know why!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I was completely taken by surprise.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I am still not a fan of Chibnall's storytelling, and am grumpy that last night's reveal seemed to erase all the fantastic character work done in the last season of 12.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

I'm also still skeptical of Chibnall, and I miss Missy. However, I still thought it was a fun, unexpected reveal.

I am waiting to see what part 2 brings before I react.

Are we supposed to remember O from last time he crossed paths with the Doctor?

I did love the Doctor in the long coat and bowtie.

Agreed, but the trousers caused me pain.

Okay, the fit of the entire outfit made me sad - I understand the brief was "small child playing dress-up", but I think of the tailoring in Missy's clothes and . . . .
