I only looked him up to see if he was one of the Gentlemen because he looked like one to me. I forgot he was also in The Shape of Water.

Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Jones is now better known as the sexy Fishman who sexed up Sally Hawkins in The Shape of Water. :)
He also plays a fishman in the original Hellboy movies and on Star Trek Discovery. I'm fairly sure there's a SAG rule that states if there is a sexy fishman in your script, Doug Jones has first refusal.
He's definitely earned that clause. When I go back and see how some STTNG and Babylon Five guest actors struggled under prosthetics, it's amazing to think that Jones can wow me with the subtle emotions of his performances and make me forget that he's doing it through pounds of silicone rubber and shark eye or vampire contacts.
Seeing him on Face Off made me love him forever.
Reminds me a little of Tim Curry, who so often plays roles that have him unrecognizable (saw him - with his own (young) face - in a rather bad movie on TV over the weekend, which may be why I thought of him).
FWIW, it seems they're going to be restarting Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this Friday.
Taika Waititi has hella rolodex.
I sort of wish the other guest stars had been called by fictional names (obviously the ones of their roles would have been off limits), and Tilda had just been called by her own, because of course...
I think I am pretty close to dropping out of The Flash due to apathy, unless something exciting happens for the next season. The bad casting for the villains this season was a huge speed bump, and the mythology has long since disappeared up its own ass.
I hear that. Quit the Flash awhile back. So bored with Trying To Get Faster instead of experimenting with what he had, and I don't need any more messing with the timeline stories. Really I was only there for Tom Cavanaugh. I don't miss them.
I mostly watch for Jesse L Martin.
