I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My young has tossed the charming personable child I got for 2 weeks for a return of the surly uncooperative one. Today he would not move from bed until I took his phone and threatened no electronics for a week. He of course knows "everything".

Our wings are not tired.

it's still sort of half endearing, half disheartening to listen to him and his friends talk about the world

Yes, I do at least remember knowing everything myself oh so long ago before I realized I knew nothing. It is only the knowledge that they will figure it out that keeps it endearing.

Oh Dana, I so infrequently need to endure these Godotish meetings. I don't know how I would manage them on a regular basis.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was in my mid-twenties when I first joined TT. I love reading OTHER PEOPLE's posts on the old threads, but every time I come across one of my own, I start hoping fervently that sci-fi predictions of a Digital Dark Age will come true.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Calli, sounds like my situation with my current project minus the being yanked off the job part. After I did illustrations for a whole book in the style they specifically requested, the higher up overturned everything and we switched to using photos with some insultingly worded feedback about the art thrown in for good measure.

I never know which of the split personalities is going to show up in any given meeting.

I remember when I joined TT I was 22. And in addition to the Buffy stuff I also ended up talking to a small bunch of lesbians who were all in their mid thirties to mid forties. And they seemed SO OLD AND ADULT. And now...my god.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Well, that sucks, Matt.

Given the rest of it, getting yanked off the team is a bit of a relief. I don't envy my coworker who will be the next person on the hot seat. And there's plenty of other stuff I can be working on.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc fell and bit her tongue, which is now bleeding. What should I do?

Cali that sounds kind of like a project I'm on right now. They added me in addition to another woman with my role and decided they love me and hate her for no particular reason. She's getting kicked off the project and I am mad jealous.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Never mind. The bleeding has already stopped. Just momentary panic on my part.

Because books.

You could give her something cold to suck on if you want, sj. Poor ltc.

Calli, that sucks. I'm glad that your manager is supporting you, though.

Sometimes I wonder if that's how the college kids at work see me.
