Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Surprisingly, the top was quite well-behaved in the water. I had to tuck it back in, like, twice. The oh so cute skirted bottom, well, the skirt part kept floating up and catching my arms and hands. Repeated tucking into the legs, repeated escapes. I may tack the skirt in a couple places to keep it from getting in the way.

ION, I am as laughably bad at water Zumba as I am at Tai Chi.

I may try some of the other water exercise classes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was taught to never tie knots when embroidering, but I generally do when I'm mending, which is about all the hand sewing I do. Have done, I should say, it's been rather a while since I've done even that.

I forgot what today was and got super confused by all the promotional emails in my inbox until I remembered. I hope that 24-month 0% financing offer from Home Depot was not an April Fool's joke, that would be mean.

Sorry for misinterpreting your post yesterday, Tep. My bad.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

There is no swelling at all in my foot, but it hurts like hell to try to push off with the toes on that foot. I managed to hobble to the train and I guess I'll hobble around work all day. If it's still a problem on Monday I'll get it checked out.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Sorry for misinterpreting your post yesterday, Tep. My bad.

No, I appreciate your comment, truly, because I don't want to come across as criticizing someone when that's not my intention.

ION, I'm comparison-shopping for housecleaning services so we can get a deep clean of the house (like baseboards and appliances in the kitchen, etc.). Since my back is stupid, every time I'd try to clean anything that required me to get down on the floor and/or get in an awkward position (behind the toilet, more than 1 baseboard, under the baker's rack) ended up with me on the heating pad because my back decided that's not cool. So Tim did a lot of those fiddly things, but his RA pain is largely in his wrists and elbows, so he can't do that anymore, either (unless/until he finds a treatment that puts the RA into remission).

Also throw in the fact that Tim has executive function issues and my depression kind of sidelined me for an entire year, and -- our house has some exceptionally grimy areas.

A lot of the housecleaning services around here (I'm looking at ones recommended on Angie's List) charge in the ballpark of $200 for a deep clean, which I am more than willing to pay to get this grime back under control.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The few times I've sewn anything(usually buttons) I've done the double-thread-and-knot thing.

Between Paul's schedule and my combination of executive function issues/depression/health scares with the addition of dogs, well. OMG. Such a clusterfuck of gross is our house.

Oh god, the pet grime. Not the shedding (though there is a lot of fur), the actual grime. Slinky manages to filth up everything at cat level. It's so nasty. We need to wash the curtains because of her. Kato mostly just slops water around his bowl and sheds a lot. Slinky is a 1-cat force of concentrated nastiness.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Since we are selling the house, we have to get all sorts of things cleaned that we wouldn't normally. You bet your ass we are paying for it.
