Ugh. Canvassing calls are the worst. Sending canvassing messages via FB though are simultaneously worse and better. Swing Vote Go is helping me do that. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think everyone I know on FB is either engaged in the election, or I'm not sure how they would vote!

I have pulled a lot of pork and kind of burned my fingertips. Ah well.

I'm sure it's possible to pull pork without burning your fingers and swearing viciously, but I've never managed it.

I just saw America's Test Kitchen do it with a mixer set on very low.

So, I grew up in Ohio and haven't really lived there since then. So I didn't know how my Ohio HS friends would respond. Everyone has been uniformly polite. Some that I felt qualmy (a former student in NV, some HS friends that I'm not that close to in OH) about said they are voting for Hillary and excited. One said that she usually votes R and this year is a tough one (and I basically said, I know it is! But I think voting is the important part), but she was still nice.

I guess I've been pleasantly surprised at being to engage around this in a low risk way.

Since I hate the phone and knocking on strangers doors with a spiel ranks right up there with it, you can count me as a fb person not engaging so much. But other than aforementioned, I'd be preaching to a choir.

I scrubbed the litter box today. With these two, not often necessary, but probably one of the last chances to do outside before spring. Tomorrow, leaves. Brian's been doing most of them during the week (he's currently suing former employers for age discrimination, not the first, so is home a lot) but I feel like I'm not pulling my weight. I oughta slip an anonymous grocery gift card under his door.

I'm on interview committees next week. One Monday, one Thursday. And I've got a wine night Wednesday, while will probably become a post election blowout no matter what. Bad timing....

Huh! Usually I can manage to wait long enough that it is OK. OOh, sj, those look great.

I guess I've been pleasantly surprised at being to engage around this in a low risk way.

That's awesome!

Note, I do not know if they actually work. I just think they look like fun.

Totally.
