Our wings are not tired.

Emily!

Go declawed old cat with the mouse catching! Maybe don't bring it right to Sophia next time, but that is impressive.

This!

It is Saturday. I stayed in bed until after 7! My most excellent DH is going to the boat show in Palm Beach today to scope out all the selections before bringing me tomorrow to see those he thinks will interest me. I just don't enjoy it anymore as a sight seeing tour. He is pretty much totally on board with moving onto a boat after we sell this house. Head room in the head is his big requirement. Windows in the master cabin is my requirement.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously, are there boats big enough for your DH??

Our wings are not tired.

There are several makes that have taller cabins. The ones with 6'8" clearance aren't an option.

That sounds awesome, though.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Biyi and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this week. Yesterday I finally found the right present for her. We were visiting a local community arts centre that was showing some paintings by a Chinese-born artist (Chinese village scenes, mostly). The gift shop was selling some richly coloured glass pendants - purple, blue, red-and-gold and so on. I asked Biyi if any of them appealed to her, and she chose a triangular pendant, green and gold (depending on the light). At least most of it was, pushing out from one of the lower corners. The border of the opposite edge was all black.

"What do you like about that one?"
"It looks like a penguin!"
"I... well ok then!"

So now she is wearing a penguin pendant to celebrate ten years of Penguin marriage.

Coding and Sleeping

Been doing some lighting projects today. Replaced a florescent fixture in the basement with LED. Also added 3,200 lumens of goodness connected to a motion sensor in the garage finally giving it adequate lighting.

Tomorrow I'm planning to replace the belt and power steering pump on my car. It'll eat up a good amount of time, but doing it myself will save a small fortune.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy congratulations to Billy and BiYi!

I remember when this happened! Mazel tov!

ION, lavender macarons are not the tasty follow up to sushi with eel sauce as one might think. Probably should have put a palate cleanser in there somewhere.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Biyi and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this week.

Congratulations! It blows my mind that it's been 10 years and you have Ryan, who is not so little any more.

I had orange juice with sushi last night (the OJ was because I thought I might be getting Tim's cold), and that is not an awesome combo, either.
