Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have met with three realtors and have one more to go. Except for one guy who was EXTREMELY smarmy, they all seem like people we could work with. We are going to be using those pod things, so you can pack up stuff and store it, then move when you want. We are going to get most furniture, all books snd knick-knacks out of the house to make it less personalized. Apparently, some buyers have no visual imagination, so they need some furniture to make it homey, but not a lot, to make to seem roomier. That's our goal by the end of the month, so it's packing time.

Packed six boxes of books today and HAVE NOT MADE THE SMALLEST DENT OH MY GOD THIS WILL NEVER END.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Apparently, some buyers have no visual imagination, so they need some furniture to make it homey, but not a lot, to make to seem roomier.

When we were selling our coop, we went with the realtor who said "oh, your furniture is fine" over the one who pointed at about half our stuff and said "Get rid of that, and that, and that". In the end, it was way more important to have the place clean than to have it empty.

Our wings are not tired.

Packing and moving is always a horror in life.

Son and GF went with me to the beach last night to watch a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral. We are about 150 miles away, but the launch was about 8:30 and in the dark you can see it quite well. Next time we will get our butts in the car and get withing sound range too. We used to go all the time, but they so often don't go off when scheduled that we got out of the habit.

Then we went to my current favorite place, Hurricane Alley, for late dinner. I had the Hurricane Andrew, which was perfect egg salad, lettuce, tomato and bacon. So back on diet today. My food choices when I order after 9 seem to be the most questionable. It was so tasty!!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Friends of ours just moved down there (he took a job with Lockheed Martin), and they watched the launch from their porch. DAMN.

The status is NOT quo.

Jesse, what's actually happened is that your credentials have been hacked (if you've used the same username and password on multiple sites, they are no longer safe), as Uber hasn't had a data hack. Listen to this week's podcast of Reply All; it is EXACTLY that situation and has now made me realize I need to use my password manager to generate unique passwords across the board.

Our wings are not tired.

GF's parents did drive up to watch it closer. The crazy part of being closer is first you see the sky light up, then the actual rocket on its way, then the sound. The sound can be quite a bit later depending on how far away you are. It rolls over you long after the visuals. Quite fun. The area around the Cape is really quite nice.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(if you've used the same username and password on multiple sites, they are no longer safe),

I don't even do that! Well, I guess I have, but not on financial accounts. But this does give me motivation to actually figure out Last Pass, which I get free from work.

We are about 150 miles away, but the launch was about 8:30 and in the dark you can see it quite well.

That sounds awesome.

I had the Hurricane Andrew, which was perfect egg salad, lettuce, tomato and bacon.

As does that, honestly.

brillig

HAVE NOT MADE THE SMALLEST DENT OH MY GOD THIS WILL NEVER END.

Moving is traumatic. When I moved I made the decision not to own anything that had to be stored in a box and shoved in a storage unit. I bought this stuff to enjoy, anyway, so I like having fairly cluttered shelves with my knick knacks.

Moving is already the worst, and I can't imagine trying to sell your house as well!

The status is NOT quo.

If you go to Have I Been Pwned, you can see if your email addresses have been put up for sale on the dark web: [link]

My old one had been spread st least three times. Chilling. I'm now working on changing all my passwords, because while it's true my financial sites have different passwords, I have gotten lazy about other sites, sometimes despite the fact they sometimes are associated with my credit card, like Uber.
