Because books.

Now I want tater tots.

Monanotlisa is a great handle.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I totally bought tater tots thanks to you people. Or "Crowns," I think.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Boxed Mac & Cheese with tuna is a totally cromulent post-workout meal, right? I had a pie-plate full of spring mix greens before going.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am not cleaning as much as I had planned (go ahead be shocked), but I did do dishes I had left before vacation, and did an initial pass at the fridge. Also got all the mail sorted that came last week, most of it directly to the recycling. Now I am clearing some off the TIVO (that should count as cleaning) and doing some correspondence as well as belated gifts I need to get to people this week.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hi

You are a post-vacation rock star, msbelle!

Absolutely, WindSparrow. Carbs, protein, ease of preparation - totally cromulent.

I miss tater tots. I need to find a regular supplier of sweet potato tots.

Pre-Reagan, Louisiana was a Dem stronghold. Still kinda weirds me out that it's not now. It was never, as a State, what you would call Progressive, but it being Republican is bizarre.

I have hurt my knee somehow. I suspect by sleeping on it funny, since that is the activity that has dominated my life for the last little while. Embarrassing. But a handy excuse for seriously resting today, which I probably would have done anyway. All that sleep was not, somehow, rest.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So someone used both my credit card AND my email address to take an Uber in Russia.

Oh wait a second, I have an Uber account (that I stopped using) -- that must be what they actually hacked, not everything else! Too bad I just made up new passwords for both sites that I'll never remember.

So should I cancel the Uber account now or wait until the Discover investigation happens? Hmmm.

Thrive to spite them

Mom got brownies from teh local bakery they are so good..rich heavy with vanilla and chocolate flavor, just enough walnuts for some crunch,

Or that's what we were expecting. There was a mix up and they gave us brownies with coffee and chocolate chips.

I hate coffee. So now Mom has two brownies.

I do have homemade vanilla pudding but ..not really chocolatey.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I also had tater tots last night. Must have been some kind of astronomical tot convergence.

Tonight we went out for really good BBQ, but they were out of bourbon bread pudding so I am dessert-less. Alas.

(The kids have had waaaay too much candy this weekend to get dessert tonight, so I said I would order some to go, which instantly generated a chorus of "But it's not FAIR!" to which I responded, nope, it's not, too bad. And then the server told us they were out, and my daughter turns to me, narrows her eyes, and says, flatly, "NOW it's fair." So I guess I've learned my lesson.)

Well, I can certainly see Claudia Black saying that. ::grins::

I need to make a kale salad for dinner instead of going around the corner for Chinese takeout. But I waaaant lo mein and pot stickets. Sigh.
