When will 45's healthcare plan go into effect? I guess it needs to go through the House and the Senate first?
The feeling on the political end of my Twitter feed and on the Pod Save America podcast is that it's unlikely to get through the Senate without major modifications, because all it takes is 2-3 Republicans opposing it for whatever reason.
I'm torn between being excited about the potential Maddow scoop and being afraid to hope because of all the time I was SURE something would destroy 45, and yet here we are.
It's a 1040 from 2005. This was, of course, during the bubble, when I'm pretty sure his cashflow was in a better state than it is nowadays.
So tired. Long day. But now I get pie. Mmm, pie.
Yeah, i would love it to be more recent taxes, but I'm watching right now...
David Cay Johnston will be discussing the tax returns on Maddow. He won a Pulitzer for tax reporting in the past, so presumably he's the guy with whom to talk about them.
I watch Maddow regularly, but was very excited to see that this was a very exciting, big-deal episode. Like meara, I wish they were slightly more recent, but - I'll take what I can get!
I'm finding it really difficult to get enthusiastic about 2005 tax forms.
There were three Davids, in either the first or second TableTalk thread, and Dana insisted three was too many, so two of them assumed the pseuds of Manservant Hecubus and Knut Hoarfrost.
Pfft, Knut the Difficult!
Does the person who sent it look legit? I mean, I get random recruiters contacting me, but not for projects in the Caribbean!
Actually, it does look legit. Huh. I'm not at all right for what they do, but I bet it'll be fun for someone. I don't expect I'll ever be asked to do Shakespeare or a moody drama in the Caribbean. That would be right in my wheelhouse.
Timelies, all! I woke up at 1 am and never got back to sleep. Today's gonna be awesome!
