Pretty disappointing near DC. About 3 inches as of earlier this morning, but I suspect there may have been ice as well.
I got the choice of arriving 3 hours late, taking leave, or working from home. I chose working from home. Which means my assistant, Coco, is trying to take over the computer's keyboard. At the moment, his head is resting on my hand. Which means I have to type one-handed.
I was nuking my breakfast in the break room when I realized my shirt was on inside out.
My people say this is good luck! Only until you realize you're wearing it inside out...then you're just a person wearing their clothes inside out.
I think inside out clothes is to ward off possession by the fey. Oh, well, there goes my day.
I came in to work and now I regret it. Not because I feel bad enough to still be in bed (although I would be perfectly happy to still be in bed, I don't actually feel too bad today), but my inbox is sapping my will to live.
I'm watching the Spring Baking Championship, and I'm pretty sure when they announced bunnies as a theme for a challenge, one of the contestants muttered "it could be bunnies."
I have done not much so far today, although I did take out the trash and do a little cleaning in the kitchen.
In better news: for Pi Day I am having a souffle from Panera. It's actually quite pie like.
It occurs to me now that today was the perfect opportunity to wear my new Pi necklace, but I'm so sleepy that I'm just happy I'm fully dressed.
I wore my snow boots today!
Is LinkedIn the new phishing location? I got this today: Hi [RN]! We are looking for a lighting designer for a quick project at a resort in Turks and Caicos (March 28 - April 16). I came across your profile and thought you might be a good fit! Let me know if you're interested to learn more. Thanks!
Are they going to ask for my bank account number so they can wire payment or something?
Does the person who sent it look legit? I mean, I get random recruiters contacting me, but not for projects in the Caribbean!
OK, the same contestant didn't put eyes on her cake, because bunnies are creepy and have "beady little eyes." You guys, I think she might actually be Anya.
I am working from home- I could have gotten in, but my alarm failed me, and I would have been so LATE, and I had sort of already planned to work from home. Also, I lost my mittens. My mittens were kittens (they have little ears) and I had them Sunday. I could not find them Sunday night. The only other mittens I have seem to have cat pee on them!
