So apparently, auto parts stores don't sell wiper refills anymore, just the whole blade (well, salvo had them but out of my size.) I think this is complete bullshit. New errand at work tomorrow.

brillig

Allegedly it's easier and quicker to unsnap the whole wiper blade than figuring out the wiper refill, but I've never been able to get it unhooked right.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I remember Jessica because she brought great food.

It worked! It worked!

The Home Depot garden section was suffering an identity crisis today. They just transitioned it from winter to spring, except there's a Nor'easter coming, so everyone was there today for salt and de-icer pellets. (All crammed together on one pallet in the middle of the floor, among the lawn mix and plant food.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Were you there, Jesse, or did we meet later?

At your corporate apartment? I was there!

I eventually got to the show despite my parents' urging -- I did not trust their taste in TV! But at some point, not sure if it was over the summer or when S2 was airing the first time, they were doing S1 on Mondays and S2 on Tuesdays, and that's when I started watching.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I do not understand the course of whatever bug I have. Yesterday, running the 5k left me feeling better than when I woke up, so I was optimistic about bellydance rehearsal, but I had to leave early because I felt so ill I was ready to cry. Blech. Unless I wake up totally healthy tomorrow I think I'll see about an appointment with my doctor.

There is also at least a $15 price difference. And it is just so wasteful. Sorry, I'm a bit extra irked because the sales guy tried to mansplain it'd always been that way. Oh NO SIR! this woman has been replacing with refills for 28 years.

Aaaaand now upgrade is being floated for Monday. Which I think is a mistake; better to get a waiver to do it next week. If this storm adds up to anything, if we run into problems (which we probably will, it's damned complicated) there won't be a lot of folk available until later in the week.

Ahhhrg.

Oh no, -t. A doctor visit does not sound like a bad idea.

And oh geez, sara.

I'm just hoping the storm blows out to sea. I don't want a big snow!

A coworker just named her new daughter Calliope Cosme familyhonorificname Mirkat Dadlastname momlastname. I'd judge on behalf of the kid filling out forms, but the couple is Russo-Spanish and sticking with ALL their family naming traditions* and I love the geeky reasoning behind the non-family tradition names (Mirkat was first choice for a fname, peaceful kitten, but it kept turning into meerkat, so...)

  • which actually dictates she should have 3 middle names, plus both parents' names!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I discovered Buffy because my BF kept telling me I would love this new show he was watching. He kept pushing and pushing. The first episode I saw was Graduation Day Part One and I was instantly hooked. Reader, I married him.
